BIODIVERSITY

LUMPL is committed towards biodiversity conservation. In accordance of conservation of Biodiversity, LUMPL is undertaking the following programs.

• Biodiversity conservation opportunities assessment,
• Monitoring and documentation of results,
• Biodiversity enhancement research projects,
• Internal and external communication of the results of the project.

Cave Protection Programme

LUMPL, in October 2008, has announced a Cave Protection Programme in partnership with the Nongtrai Village Durbar as a part of the broader ‘biodiversity conservation programme’ of LUMPL. Under the programme, a protective enclosure has been constructed around the entrance of Phalangkaruh cave.
